GETTING TO THE VENUE

  • By Taxi:

    • Taxis are available from both airports​. There is a 50THB surcharge for airport taxis. The fare into the city is usually around 300-500THB.​

    • Ride-sharing services, like GRAB, is recommended. There is a designated GRAB station at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

  • By Train from the Airport:​

    • From Don Mueang International Airport:​

      • Take the SRL Red Line to Bang Sue Grand Station​

      • Connect to MRT Blue Line at Bang Sue Station to Sukhumvit Station

      • The hotel is in Sukhumvit Soi 18 which is across Sukhumvit Road (the other side from MRT Station)

    • From Suvarnabhumi Airport:

      • Take the Airport Rail Link to ​Makkasan Station

      • Connect to MRT Blue Line at Phetchaburi Station to Sukhumvit Station

      • The hotel is in Sukhumvit Soi 18 which is across Sukhumvit Road (the other side from MRT Station)

CURRENCY EXCHANGE

  • Most vendors in Bangkok accept major credit cards.

  • The best place to get currency exchange are ATMs and currency exchange providers such as Superrich.

  • Banking booths in malls and airports are available though they typically charge higher fees.​

POWER OUTLETS

  • In Thailand, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of type A, type B, type C, type F and type O are used. The standard voltage is 220 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.

    • Thai politeness are reflected in their language where people end words and sentences with krup (for males) and kha (for females)

    • For example, to make "hello" more polite you would say sawatdee krup/kha
